Fitness Routines For Summer 2022

July 14, 2022

Welcome!

This is the GetOutPass blog. It's where we explore topics we're interested in. We hope you'll find them useful too! Feel free to stay and explore.

Summer is here, so we're all looking for ways to stay in shape. But what if you're not interested in working out? Or maybe you've already got a fitness routine, but it's hard for you to get out of the house and make your regular walk or run. If that sounds like you, no worries—I've got some ideas for making something good happen even when there isn't much room for exercise in the schedule.

Summer is the best time to get fit, and here are some ways to do that:

Set a schedule

Schedule your workouts, but also set aside time to rest and relax. Make sure that you have time during the day (or night) to eat healthy meals, get enough sleep and spend time with family or friends. If you're working full-time, this might mean going to bed earlier on weeknights so that you can wake up earlier in order for both body and mind to function at their best during the day! Don't forget about weekends though - they should be spent relaxing as well!

Work with what you've got

Don't worry about equipment and work with what you have. You can only make yourself a better person by exercising regularly and eating well; no equipment is essential when you want to get fit!

Try to move as much as possible

To stay fit this summer, you'll need to move around. You can do this by walking and taking the stairs instead of using an elevator or escalator. If you have access to a gym, try using it as much as possible. If not, get creative with your workouts! You can even buy an inexpensive bike so that you have transportation around town or park farther away from stores rather than close.

Plan to be outside at least once a day

There are many benefits to getting outside and exercising in the sunshine. Sunshine is good for you, and it's good to feel the sun on your face. The fresh air will invigorate you as well! Exercise is also important because it helps keep weight down, gets rid of stress, and improves mood.

To get plenty of exercise during the summer months:

Don't let it become a chore.

Making your fitness routine not become a chore is all about taking small steps and making the most of what you have.

For example, if you're going to walk an extra mile each day, don't worry about how many miles you will walk. Just start walking and focus on getting one extra mile in each day. This can be hard, but it's much easier than trying to commit to a larger goal and then getting discouraged by how slow progress is being made.

Exercise should be something that makes you feel energized and ready for whatever comes next—whether that's cooking dinner or going out with friends. You'll feel better when you exercise because you're doing something enjoyable and positive with your time!

Have fun in the outdoors.

Spending time outdoors is an excellent way to stay in shape. The fresh air and sunshine are energizing, and you can exercise with your friends or family members. If you have a dog, consider bringing him along on his walk with you—it will help both of you stay active!

You don't have to be limited by where you live; there are plenty of places within nature that are great for exercising: parks, forests, trails, beaches (especially if they're near you), and many more.

Best Exercises To Get Fit This Summer

Summer is about fun, but it's also about getting fit. You might not have plenty of free time, so here are some exercises you can do easily.

Running

Running is an aerobic exercise that uses large muscle groups to propel you forward. It's also a great way to get your heart rate up and burn calories, which can help you lose weight or maintain healthy body weight.

Running also has many other benefits for your body:

  • It's good for your lungs, as running increases lung capacity and the amount of oxygen in each breath
  • It strengthens muscles in the legs, buttocks, hips, and abdomen (and helps prevent injuries)
  • Running improves blood circulation so you have more energy throughout the day
  • A regular running program can help reduce stress levels and lower cholesterol levels

Push-ups

Push-ups are a great way to work your chest, triceps, and shoulders. If you're new to doing them, start with the basic push-up and move up from there as you become stronger.

Push-ups are done by placing your feet and palms on the floor with your hands shoulder-width apart. Your body should form a straight line from knees to shoulders; do not allow your hips or head to sag forward toward the floor.

Squats

Squats are a great way to get your body in shape, but they can be hard to do. If you're worried about getting tired, don't worry! You can do them with or without weights—your choice!

Lunges

Lunges are one of the best exercises you can do in your summer workout. They work your legs, glutes, and hips all at once, so they're a great way to build strength and tone your muscles.

When performing lunges, make sure that you keep good form by keeping both feet slightly apart (approximately shoulder-width) if you want more weight distribution.

Jumping jacks

Jumping jacks are an easy way to get your heart rate up and burn some calories. They can be done anywhere, so you don't have to go out of the way for a workout. If you have a friend with you who wants to join in, it's even better!

Jumping jacks are one of those exercises that everyone knows how to do but few know why they're good for us. The simple act of jumping increases blood flow throughout your body, which helps increase metabolism (the rate at which we burn calories). It also helps strengthen muscles; jumping is an effective way for beginners to build muscle mass because it requires strength rather than just endurance like running does.

Conclusion

Now that you know how to stay fit during the summer, it’s time to get out there and enjoy this beautiful season!
