Buckeye State, what can we say? Home to some of the most iconic attractions in the United States, Ohio is a great place to visit for anyone. Whether you’re looking for a place where you can experience history, a day of fun in the city, or some amazing scenery, there’s something for everyone in Ohio.

There are so many things to see and do in Ohio. From a historic tour of Cincinnati to an excursion through the Great Lakes region, there’s so much to see and do in Ohio. There are even a number of great festivals throughout the year.

In this blog post, we'll outline some of the best places to visit on your Ohio travel or vacation. Let's get started!

1. African Safari Wildlife Park

Up close and personal -- that's how we can describe the unique experience you'll have once you visit African Safari Wildlife Park. It's a drive-thru wildlife park located in Port Clinton where you can get to feed the animals right from your car.

They have dozens of different types of animals, from alpacas and deers to longhorns and bison. They have zebras and giraffes as well.

At the beginning of your drive, the staff will give you a large cup of animal feed that you can use to feed the animals. They are quite friendly and used to people, so there's no need for you to worry.

It's fun to watch them play and interact with each other, but it can get more interactive once they stick their heads in thru your window for food. And if you get surrounded and can't drive, wranglers on golf carts will disperse the herds.

What's best about African Safari Wildlife Park is that you can get free admission to the park once you present your GetOutPass. This way, you get to meet lovely animals without breaking the bank. Don't wait, sign up to GetOutPass today and get a 30% discount!

2. Cuyahoga Valley National Park

The only national park in Ohio, Cuyahoga Valley National Park is a natural beauty. This place is great if you love physical activities such as walking, running, biking, fishing, or camping. It's also a great setting for a picnic where you can bond with your friends and family.

There are several hiking trails throughout the park, so you'll have plenty of options to choose from. Our favorites are the Ledges Trail and the hike to Brandywine Falls. You'll also enjoy the path through Beaver Marsh where you can spot some wildlife including beavers, green and blue herons, numerous other birds, and snapping turtles. We recommend getting to the Ledges Trail early as it does fill up.

At the northeast border of the park are the Bridal Falls and Great Falls. Both are very much worth seeing if you have the extra time. All in all, Cuyahoga Valley National Park has so much to offer and it's definitely worth a visit.

3. Cleveland Museum of Art

Cleveland Museum of Art has an extensive collection of different kinds of art, ranging from its armor collection to Baroque pieces. If you're looking for a place in Ohio where you can take your curious kids, then this is the place for you.

We suggest that you give yourself plenty of time to explore this museum. Their armor collection includes swords and other artifacts, and they also have lots of really cool Hindu and Buddhist carvings, tablets, and sculptures.

Everything is beautiful in the Cleveland Museum of Art. The architecture inside and outside is works of art themselves. They also have a nice gift shop and cafe that you can stop in on your way out. And the best part? It’s free! Truly, this is Cleveland's most wonderful gem.

4. Cedar Point

Located in Sandusky, Cedar Point is a fun family destination that is filled with exciting rides, shows, and delicious food. They have rides for all ages, and it's better if you don't expect that you can finish all rides in one day.

This amusement park is one of the best, if not the best amusement park in the country. Their staff is wonderful, the food at the booths and the restaurant is reasonably priced, and the side attractions are entertaining and plenty. There's a very nice gradient of beginner-friendly rides all the way up to some super intense monster coasters. Once you visit this place, we're certain that you'll be coming back for more.

5. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

Another fun attraction in Cleveland is the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. You'll be treated to some really awesome beats as you walk around and see the exhibits. Lots of memorabilia from rock 'n roll greats, with the exhibitions on The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, and Elvis drawing large crowds as expected. They also have exhibitions about the cities that have contributed significantly to rock 'n roll, including Cleveland.

Don't miss the Hall of Fame area that honors all the inductees. They show a short film with some of the most memorable moments during the ceremonies, ending with a nice tribute to Prince.

This museum has by far one of the most impressive collections of music memorabilia, and we recommend that you at least allot two and a half hours so that you can enjoy all the exhibits. This place has travel paths to guide you on your exploration, but we suggest that you take Level 2 first, then work your way up the pyramid to avoid the crowds. Lastly, end your tour on the impressive Level 0 which is the basement featuring the most exhibits.

Conclusion

All in all, Ohio has many things to offer to visitors. Aside from its natural beauty, Ohio also has plenty of cultural attractions that make it one of the most attractive states to visit. Make sure to use your GetOutPass when you visit so that you'll have a variety of fun and awesome activities to choose from without breaking the bank!
